AIMS Institutes (managed by JMJ Charitable Education Society) was established in the year 1994 with a vision to expand the horizons of teaching-learning realms, wherein, the students’ intra-personal and
interpersonal disposition is groomed. It is a great pleasure to state that the AIMS fraternity is enduringly infusing resilient confidence among the students to excel in their academic, professional endeavours and personal lives.
AIMS began its journey in the field of academics in 1994 by offering a Bachelor Degree in Hotel
Management and Bachelors Degree in Science with Computer Science as a specialisation which are
affiliated to Bangalore University. It was a humble beginning of the institute with 60 students. As a
testimony to its academic excellence and quality assurance, the number of students greatly increased and the institute added bachelors program in Management (BBM) and Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) in 1997. In 1998, the institute started to offer MBA Programme. It is noteworthy that all the streams got a very optimistic response from various parts of India and the neighbouring countries. In the year 2000 the institute launched Bachelors Programme in Computer Applications (BCA) which again received a tremendous response.
As the institute is a centre for the communion of diversities, the institute has been driven to start Masters in Tourism Administration (MTA) so that it can explore new ideas and produce adept professionals in the tourism industry. In order to reinforce its commitment for the social cause, the institute added a feather to its academic crown: Master Programme in Social Work (MSW) in 2004. It is evident that the Department of Social Work is personifying philanthropic ideology of AIMS through its community services. After recognising the need for experts in the field of trade and commerce, a Bachelor Programme in Commerce (B.Com) sprouted in the year 2006, where from the institute is proud to ascertain that it is contributing a series of committed professionals to the field of trade and commerce.
AIMS launched the five-year MTA Integrated Programme (IMTA) in 2007. Simultaneously, a Master
Programme in English Literature (MA) was incepted in 2008 in order to develop literary sensibilities among the students. Besides, this course emphasises on developing English Language Proficiency. The institute is also innovative in its approach to teaching-learning endeavours. In order to supplement the effective delivery of curriculum, the institute has devised many pedagogical tools that make the academic pursuits invigorating and igniting on AIMS campus. In summation, it is a sincere endeavour of the AIMS’ fraternity to serve for a greater cause of academic excellence and competent professionalism since its inception.
Today, AIMS has a approximately 2500 students pursuing various programmes at bachelor and master levels.

TESTIMONIALS
Nandini Ravi
Alumnus, MBA
I grew up in a working-class family and wish to expand my horizon by being an entrepreneur.
I am a student of MBA, and AIMS has been directing me to reach my goal in a much
efficient way. With such highly qualified and dedicated faculty, learning is fun. The
support and guidance of the faculty to the student is commendable. I have to admit
that being with international students we can understand different cultures and
overcome cross-cultural boundaries. I have met a set of wonderful people who will
be imprinted in my memories. The on-campus job opportunities, stress-bursting
social and cultural activities are encouraging.
Being in AIMS, we mould as good citizens with social responsibility along with the
important skill sets to compete in the world full of uncertainties.

“Believe you can and you are halfway there “
This is a phrase which I learnt at AEEC (AIMS Entrepreneurship Excellence
Centre). The cell has been nurturing me in all aspects. Special guidance by
AEEC has helped me to build a new startup named “EDUPRIME”.
AEEC provided me with all the support and guidance when I needed. The cell’s
timely guidance has been coming at all stages of my journey as an
entrepreneur. Without the AEEC cell I may not have been able to convert my
idea into a startup. Humble thanks to the cell for encouraging me in all steps I
have taken and guiding me.
