Amity International School, Sector-6, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad was founded in 2005 by Dr Ashok K Chauhan, a philanthropist and global entrepreneur with the aim to nurture children with the optimum blend of excellence in academics, in person and in human values.  The school motto ‘Vidya Dadati Vinayam’ envisages the vision of the Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan that it is only knowledge that can bring humility in person and nobility of thought. 

The impressive red bricked eco-friendly building has well lit and ventilated rooms for electronic curriculum transaction, State of Art laboratories, a 300 capacity seating auditorium, well stocked libraries and reading rooms, resource rooms for faculty development, shooting range and archery arena, play fields, indoor and outdoor for 15 sporting disciplines.  The school has a unique e-portal ‘Amitranet’ which is a link between the parent and the school for academic, co-scholastic, accounts, admin and day to day communication networks and linkages.  Well trained and experienced faculty is the pride of the school who are selected after a rigourous recruitment procedure. Heritage, Life Skills, Value Education, Soft Skills, ICT and Innovation & Tinkering curricula are well integrated in the school planner.  The school is unique because it has it’s own weekly newspaper ‘The Global Times’ which is a registered newspaper (also digital) and has a circulation of 75,000 copies. This newspaper is for the children, by the children and of the children. Amity Cadet Corps (ACC) is also a feather in our cap, a programme on the lines of the NCC which builds confidence, leadership skills, group dynamics and pride for the country. A 50 member Scottish Band of bagpipers and drummers adds unique charm to school events.  This band has been declared as a National Winner this year.

National and international glories, especially in science and technology have brought accolades to the school.  Every year the school is proud to have selections and winning entries at NTSE, KVYP, IRIS, INSEF, NCSC, NTSC, INSPIRE, CBSE Aavishkar Quiz and Expression Series.  The alumni are placed at IIT, AIIMS, NIT, NIFT, NID, IISc, DU and other prestigious universities in India and abroad.  Students of the school were among the Ghaziabad Region Toppers and All India Rankers in CBSE Board Exams of class-X & XII for the past 4 years which speaks of the academic rigour imparted at Amity.  The school was selected amongst the first 200 schools to receive the grant from Niti Aayog (Govt. of India) for setting up the ATL Lab.  Last year, 6 member team represented India at the Knowledge Wharton High School Programme at University of Pennsylvania, USA.  An international edge gives the high school students an opportunity to participate in various acclaimed global programmes like Model United Nations (at Oxford, Rome, Austria, France and Harvard), Korea Science Fair, Odyssey of Mind, RITS Super Global Forum at Japan, etc. 

March 23, 2020 changed the entire face of school education and Amity Vasundhara Sector-6 was one of the first schools to adapt to this paradigm online shift. Today apart from the teaching learning curriculum, students are participating in assemblies, activities, competitions on the virtual platform to hone their scholastic and coscholastic abilities.  

The Principal, Mrs Sunila Athley has been the Head for the past 10 years believes.  She believes that every child has the potential to change the world and thus each child is unique.  She has been felicitated by CBSE in 2019 with the Best Principal Award by the Minister of MHRD.
